St. Francis Memorial HospitalDr. Schofferman is a pain management specialist who has been in practice for more than 25 years and specializes in the diagnosis and non-operative treatment of painful disorders of the spine, with a focus on whiplash injury, whiplash-associated disorders, and low back pain resulting from motor vehicle collisions.
He is certified by both the American Board of Pain Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Schofferman’s professional involvement includes a 15-plus year membership in the North American Spine Society (NASS) where he is chair of the Clinical Care Council, former chair of the NASS Multidisciplinary Care Committee, leader of the NASS special interest group on whiplash, and a member of International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine, American Academy of Pain Medicine, and International Association for the Study of Pain.
He is a well-regarded lecturer on a variety of topics for orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, physiatrists, and other specialists in pain medicine, and has authored more than 60 articles, textbook chapters, and editorials related to the diagnosis and treatment of painful spinal disorders.
